I've somehow managed to connect my desktop icons with a natwork folder. I've removed myself from the test OU I was playing with working with roaming profile, GPO and scripts. I've destroyed all of the above. Now if I set a desktop shortcut it ends up as a shortcut to the network folder, which I've deleted only to have it recreate itself. Anything I put in that folder shows up on my desk top. What have I done and how can I get it back to normal?

(Somehow erased all existing files in network folder when they suddenly appeared on desktop. )

Thanks for any help!

I was experimenting with login scripts through a GP in AD ander a TEST OU. Login to net use h:\server\folder\user. I logged in after lunch and all of my info from the network folder was on my desktop in what I thought was shortcuts. Erased them all and erased network folder at same time. Now, I've backed myself out of all OU, scripts, etc. and if I set IE to shortcut to desktop, the shortcut links to said folder and appears in that folder. Everytime I save anything to that folder an icon appears on my desktop.
How is it still linked? Are there reg settings to change?

Thanks!
