Hello Everyone,
I have a client who has multiple 3 T-1 lines and there office. They would like to merge the all together for increase there speed. Would this increase there throughput or would it just allow load sharing across the T-1s? And what Cisco router would handle this?

I think that most any router with 3 serial interfaces would work. I've only done this with 2, but 3 should work the same way.

Load-balancing will effectively increase the bandwidth.

You can also invest in iMUX from Verilink or another vendor. They can handle up to 4 t1s if I remeber correctly. Then you connect the Imux to your router via HSSI.

So if I understand this correctly, combinding all the T-1's together will only allow for load balance and will not increase the speed?
My ISP provider has install three routers, one for each T-1 line. I have a choice to use 100Mb ethernet or V.35 serial connections. What would be the best way to combine the router?

Thanks for all your help

A question regarding MPPP, can you actually make the multilink interface itself the "outside" interface for NAT?

Also, does each route on the physical interfaces have to have the same cost out to the internet - just like load balancing?
