When customizing layouts for a Contact using the layout designer window under the Tools menu, random fields have a red circle next to them. What does this circle or the lack of it mean?

basically the red circle makes the field a group field, in which you move through the layout using the enter key. Removing group stops (clicking the red circle so it disappears) can make data entry more efficient, especially if you enter in a certain data in a certain order or you skip fields
