okay heres a very easy to install Flash counter. Everything you need is available at the link below.
Upload the files to your cgi supported server and chmod the cgi and dat files to 755. Easy as pie. Also, in my fla file the only layers you actually need are "actions" and "message", delete the other two and put your own stuff in.
If anyone needs any help with this just drop me an e-mail...
