Demote NT4.0 BDC to Member server. 2

We need to quickly remove any NT4.0 directory information from an NT4.0 BDC and make it a member server, such that it could join another domain. Any thoughts?
 
Re-install the OS.

Generally there is no way to do it without a 3rd-party tool, but there is just a tool. I've never used it, so I'm not endorsing it.

I bet I have used UPromote at least 100 times. Get the product if you are gonna be using NT for a while....

I had already recommended a secondary install of NT4.0, then just fix the boot.ini and delete the first WINNT folder to protect the domain data, but this sounds pretty good!
