Hi, does anybody know a place to download something like a demo / or demolab of the pix device manager ??? Would be very very nice ... need it for personal study....

HI.
I don't think that you'll find one.
There are some remote labs that can be subscribed to.
But I think that the best way to have hands-on practice is either to purchase a pix 501, or to contact your local Cisco office and try to arrange a visit to their lab or to one of the resellers.
