Hi.

Can someone help me. I use demand dial connection to connect to my central office. I use Windows 2000 server RRAS, configured PPTP protocol and it is a persistant conection. My problem is the connection does not last for more than 30 minutes at most. The connection just drops and reconnects. It takes ages to reconnect. how do i rectify this problem

Disconnection can be cause of line quality, inactivity time-out,program that you are running or the dialin box configuration. Some modem like motorola use to retrain when line quality went down to adjust the modem speed. Can you just simply connect using hyperterminal and wait and see when it is disconnected. I will look log file either on your PC or dialin box at your office.
