Hi All,

I was cutting the tree limbs in front yard and the limb fell on the electric wire and broke the ground wire. I think, when the ground wire is broken it sends a Hugh power serge through the house. After the power was fixed the I lost my 2 TV and computer would not turn on.

Is there any part I can salvage out of my computer?

Are there any method to identify damaged hardware in my computer?

Please let me know. I appreciate your help.

When the ground wire broke the side of the line with the smallest load carried the current for the side with the largest load and the voltage increased.
You probably lost the power supply. There is a good chance that everything else will be OK.
