I have a computer which will not bootup. Actually no activity what soever. Any suggestions of the cause of the problem.

If there is no light when you press power I'd start with replacing the power supply.

No there is no light. Nothing!!!

Do you think I should try switching the DC power from H5V to 230V and then back to HV5 and then try to bootup. Have you ever tried this before because I have not.

I'm unfortunately I'm unsure on compatible power supplies. If the power supply is compatible I would definately start by switching them out.

Hi jorecca
Please repost letting us know what you have tested and how far down the line you have power?
The problem could be as simple as a blown fuse (there is one in the PSU).
In the UK there is also a fuse in the Wall plug.
If you are in a region with 115 volt electricity then the voltage switch should be on 115V. In 230~240 volt area should be on 230V.

Next thing to check is to find out if your PSU (power supply unit) is shot.

Please repost if no luck.

Thanks everyone. I am going to replace the power supply.
