Might as well throw it up here, Dell is no help really.
1) D800 laptop works fine in all respects. Onboard (integrated) NIC works fine.
2) Dock It. (CDock). NIC on docking station works fine.
3) Shut down & Undock. Reboot. Onboard Integrated NIC no longer enabled and MAY activate manually.
-------------
In other words, take this laptop out of the docking station and the on-board NIC doesnt really work. All drivers up to date (I think). DELL actually replaced motherboard and it worked fine until the unit was docked again - the behavior started again.
Windows 2000 docked/undocked profiles appear fine.
Anyone ever hear of anything like this? Laptop also has wireless NIC in it, but doesnt really play any part in this discussion as far as I can see.
Thanks for any comments.
