When the PC boots it will lock on the Dell boot screen, I can reboot hit f2 in time to go into the bios, then esc, then it will boot to the hit f1 to continue or f2 to get into settings screen, after hitting f1 it goes to the choose windows installation screen to run, hit enter on Windows xp pro and it will finally boot to windows, It every so often will stop totally with a HDsk error stating to contact Dell tek support. I checked for a bios update from the A05 there are none, What can i do to correct this.

If your getting hard disc error then most likely your hard drive is dying. If its still under warranty might want to think about sending it in.

When I did a search for this error dell says its a keyboard error, it happens when the keyboard is in the mouse ps/2 port but this is not the case this time. Every thing is plugged in correct.

Well if you think its a keyboard error you can go into the bios and tell it to halt on no errors and it should boot.

you think this will stop erronious errors from being reported and just load correctly, sounds like a plan to me, Ill let you know tommorrow how it goes.

You might still see the errors but if you set it like that it should just pass right by and keep loading.
