Hi-

I'm not sure if there is a better place for this post.

I installed a couple of programs that have become unusable. But I can't uninstall or reinstall over the top of them. Is there any way that I can delete them manually from the registry or do I have any options...

I really have to install the working progs pronto.

I'm not sure if the uninstall file became useless or if changes I made to the OS messed up the registry settings...but I can neither uninstall or reinstall.

Please, any help is greatly appreciated!

When did you first install or try to uninstall this program? Try using system restore to get back before the first install, or uninstall attempt. Then try to install, or uninstall your program again.

If you have to delete this program manually, a good registry program will help, but you will have to know all the names to search for in the registry to get rid of them.

linney's recommendation is good.

if you didn't have system restore enabled, you could simply delete the folder to which the program is installed and then run jv16 powertools to clean up the registry. then reinstall your programs. it's easier than sifting thru the registry to try and find entries.
