I have an MSExchange 5.5 Organisation with three sites in different locations. Over time users have left the organisation. I have noticed that in the mailbox resources (under Server in Configuration) that old mailboxes are still there even though they don't appear in the GAL or recipients. When I click onto these mailboxes it comes up with 'The object cannot be found in the Directory. This may be because replication has not completed'. Though these mailbox resources are not causing a problem I would like to be able to remove them. I've tried using RAW mode and recreating the mailbox to delete them again but this hasn't helped.

Does anyone know how I can remove these mailbox resources?

You can run a DS/IS on Mailbox and this will create a new directory object. Then delete them again. Wait for Online Maitenance to run and they should be gone.

I would also defrag the database and isinteg it. Dan
