Deleting files, can I???

In my C:\ there are a ton of files named FILE#### (with real numbers, of course).chk. Is it safe to delete these files?

If everything is working to your satisfaction and all your data files appear to be OK, then yes. These files are the result of chkdsk or scandisk finding errors when they ran , and rather than trashing the errors , they saved them. Ed Fair
