At the moment I'm dual booting between XP pro and 2000 server.Pro is on the system partition and I need more space. So I want to format and delete the partition server is on, create another smaller partition and re-install server on it.
Apart from formatting and deleting the partition (using disk management?)are there other things I need to do..eg modify boot.ini etc?
Any advice would be gratefully accepted...Kevin

When you reinstall server it will overwrite your boot files for xp pro. So before reinstalling server make an ERD for winxp. Also, delete the current reference to server from your boot.ini file before reinstalling.

just resize it using partition magic ... no reinstall ... no hassle

Good catch irzyxel (Guess I need to pay more attention to details)!! You can boot into xp and use Partition Magic to resize your win2k server partition.

yes
or if you want to move and resize, just create a partition magic rescue floppy, boot your pc with that floppy and do it all in one rush
you can also install partition magic on xp or 2k and the resize the partitions, might need a reboot or two then
