Deleted formula reappears

Has anyone seen this before? I have a report where there are several formulas that are no longer used within it. I go to Data...Variables, select the formula, click remove, Answer "yes" to the are you sure message (does not say the formula is used in the report) and then watch the report recompute and the unused formula is gone. I save the file, close it, open it and the unused formula is BACK!! What am I doing wrong?

This happens on several different reports of mine.

Did you try running a refresh action immediately after deleting the formulae instead of just allowing it to recompute the formatting. Same results.......? T. Blom
