i had a salesman take it upon himself to fix another salesman's computer-while doing this he decided to delete akk32.exe & inetd.exe ( he left me a note saying this ) now this pc will not function properly. i tried searching for them on my computer but i do not have them. Anyone ever heard of these files or know where i can find them????

I think inetd.exe is part of IIS. If so, reinstalling IIS (or better - disabling it if it's not needed) should fix at least one part of the problem.

Not sure about the akk32.exe - I ran a search on Google and came back with nada.

There are 2 other files he should have deleted as well. kern32.exe and hksdll.dll

He should have gone into the registry as well and removed a value there.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce and remove the (Kernel32 KERN32.EXE)

Also

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows and remove the (run <path>\Inetd.exe Where <path> is the path the Inetd.exe file is in. James Collins
