Deleted Documents on server -whereabouts

Where does the item go when a person who is on our NT network deletes say for example a word document from one of the network drives. I've checked their recycle bin ..not there,.. I've check the recycle bin icon on the server not there either ...Is there a special folder somewhere ???

Unless you're running some third party program specifically for this - its gone - unless you have it on backup.

Windows servers don't natively support undelete for items deleted through a network share.
