i know the similarities and differences between assigning and publishing applications, but i'm not too sure i understand how it works.
when you assign an application to a user, and the user logs and and clicks the shortcut to finish installation, does the program install on the client computer? and if it does, will other users of the same computer see the installed program? what about if their profile is not roaming and their applications aren't deployed but installed locally? how about if the user that just finished installing the assigned application moves to a different computer? if it's installed on the network then im assuming it would run off the server, but if it was installed locally, would another copy be installed on this next computer? wouldnt this generate a licensing mess?
