Hello, got a customer with an IP Office version 8.1 and Voicemail Pro version 6.0. All incoming calls ring extension 201. The customer wants an auto attendant set up to answer on a 4 ring delay.
Question: does delayed answering by a Voicemail Pro auto attendant program the same way as delayed answering by an Embedded voicemail auto attendant? If not, how is the programming process different?

Thanks in advance, Lanny

You could do it like embedded voicemail, with the overflow group, user forwarded to shortcode to hit the auto attendant.

But in VM Pro, you could just put voicemail coverage for the group to 20 seconds, and in VM Pro, add a Leave action for the group, and connect that to the auto attendant module.

FYI:
The IPO and VMPro are dangerously far apart, R8.1 vs. 6.0.
You should bump the VMPro up to the corresponding release of the IPO.

Kind regards

Gunnar
