Hello!

I have a definity prologix that I access by modem. I am wondering, do there's a way to access it using my network?, I see the equipment has a ethernet port, so I am guessing I could connect by a Local Access Network instead of using a modem. If so, do there's a way to see if there's an ip address configured already in the system, or what do I need to do to asssing an ip address?

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

Lenin

you can do a "list node-names or list node-names ip" to see any addresses programmed in. if you have a clan card it might be a direct Xover connection to the voicemail. in order to connect to it through ASA i think you need to be at R8.

you can do a "change ip-interface 01axx" to see programming on the board
youll have to do a "change ip-services" and add sat for port xxxx. i usually use 5023
youll also have to add a data module for type "ethernet" and assign it to port 17 on the CLAN module

Hello TDMorIP

Thank yo so much for this information. I really appreciate your help. I want to bother you with one more question... what do you mean when you say I need to be R8... and one more question.. I am using port 5111 and port 5023 because I connect to two PBX switches from my ASA. do there's any other port number I can use to congure my third switch?

Thank you so much in advance,

Sincerely,

Lenin

R8 is the software load. you can do a "list config software" to see what release you are running. it doesnt matter which port you use. most switches use 5111 or 5023 but ic can be any port you want to dedicate that other things arent using. you set it up per site that you have in ASA.
