When adding a signaling group, I need to know how to assign local extension numbers to ISDN interfaces. IN the following text capture, you can see that there are two administered local extensions. I know how to fill out this form, but where in programming do I assign these local extensions to the respective interface devices. I have looked everywhere in my documentation and cannot find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks--

ADMINISTERED NCA TSC ASSIGNMENT

change data xxxx or add data xxxx.

In later releases of Definity, all data connections are made through the data extensions form.

This doesn't do the trick but thanks for replying. When I do a list extension type, 2991 and 2992 (see original post) are listed as "administered NCA TSC connection". I cannot use change data or add data to administer these connections.

Any other takers?

Try and check Communication Processor Interfaces

Um, you just did associate the extension to the "interface", that's what the screen is for. An extension number is used because the PBX deals with that easily, but it's just a virtual identifier to pass D channel info. Check your network connectivity guide for more info.

As far as I know, you're looking at a signaling group of a DCS trunk.
The extension numbers are not needed when you add a normal trunkgroup.
For DCS you'll find extensions programmed in the signaling group on the other side as well.
These extensions "call" each other and then DCS information goes over the connection.

Do "ch sig x" and go to the second page. Here you'll find the extension numbers. Plan your work............Work your plan
