A school I support has a Nortel CICS with a Call Pilot 100. The CICS is being replaced with a Definity G3v8 and all digital sets. I am trying to find out if the Call Pilot can be used with the Definity directly. I would prefer a Definity Audix, but have a limited budget. The Audix units seem to be rather difficult to find... and those that are seem to be rather expensive.

So, is it even possible to interface the Call Pilot 100 with the Definity? If so, where can I find any docs on the process?

TIA -

wow. why?
No. Callpilot 100, like Definity Audix, uses emulated digital stations proprietary to the vendor.
Actually, def audix might be analog but with proprietary integration. Either way, if you could hang your 7208's off the g3, then you probably could - but that's an impossibility I'm afraid.

wow from one old battleship to another, 1st off you do not want an Definity Audix, trust me, 2nd if you do go with the Definity then install an Audix voicemail system. Also with a version 8 Definity you will get no support from Avaya, but we out here in the real world still work on these and it is a good pbx.

Thanks for the info. I suspected as much.... I have worked on Avaya gear since System 75, and currently support a CM7 environment. I thought I could get something going for the school with some ad-hoc parts I collected (G350, S8300B, MM312) but couldn't get the licensing worked out with my friends at Avaya. They were required to send me to a Business Partner, and they wanted $21K to license the G350. I got the G3v8 and 20 6416 sets on eBay, and I'm still under $500. Now I just gotta get the voicemail figured out.
