We have a customer who has a Definity (XE Style) with the TN789 Wireless cards installed. They are authorized for wireless and have been using them for years.

They had a power outage and their system came down. When the system came back up all 3 of the TN789's were in Major Alarm[/color red]. The system shows the Boards installed (List Configuration) but when we go to busy them out it says "no board" for all three of them. We tried putting in 3 replacement TN789's but nothing changed.

This happened a year or so ago and Avaya dialed into do something and the boards came back up. Does anyone know what the issue is here and how we can rectify it without having pay Avaya an arm and a leg to dial in for a minute.

Thanks for anyone who can help!

You can try the "ch cir" and see if you can add and or remove them.

The wireless telegraph is not difficult to understand. The ordinary telegraph is like a very long cat. You pull the tail in New York, and it meows in Los Angeles. The wireless is the same, only without the cat.

There is one wireless screen in the Definity that relates to UTAM disablement. Basically it will shut off your wireless if you lose power. I can't remember what screen its on but I will go out to our switch and look. I'll write back.

That sounds like it may be the issue. That would be great if you could respond back with where i can find that screen.

dostrow, try the command display sys-parameters wireless and look on the right side for UTAM disablement? If it says "y" then try change sys-parameters wireless and change it to "n". Good luck!!

I am logged in with 'Dadmin'. I don't have an option to "change system-paramaters wireless". Any thoughts?

This may help you.

supertech;

I think the answer is in making the change you suggested under "change system-parameters wireless". However, it doesn't look like that is available to me under the Dadmin login. Do you or does anyone have any thoughts of how I can get this rectified?

Thanks, in advance, for any help anyone can give.
