Hi All,
My former employer shutdown a site three months. The new owners want me to come in and setup the definity G3 and intuity box.
its the same system i did admin on. hopefully all hardware is still intact. Here is what I know . I can do admin. stuff. snoop around in the system and setup voice mail accounts setup extension numbers. What should i expect in getting this system back online. example: contact local provider for T1 line and physical connection. How about the system parameters involved. Will i need to program trunks etc or can I get the vendor (avaya) to do the initial setup and get it online. then all i do is add the phones , voice mail. etc any comments or suggestion will be appreciated.
thanks

It seems a bit awkward your Employer did just leave the system behind...all those dollars spent. But ok, did they have a service-contract with Avaya? Surely Avaya or a BusinessPartner would like to come in and take things over. As far as the system; if everything was left behind without changing anything, the only thing to do seems to be to contact your local T1-provider and maybe recollect the passwords etc.

Good luck and let me know if anything comes up. Kind Regards,
Maarten Copini
