Hi all,

Is this even possible? Our system is in the basement and we currently have an unused C-LAN card in it. Anyway to configure it to allow connections from ASA? I noticed the network option in the app when you create a new voice connection.

Many thanks.

sure does... it used to be configured for our CMS

You need at least version 9.2, I think it is 9.5 or higher to put it on the network and connect via ASA. The CLAN that was connected to your CMS was directly connected and should have had an address like 192.168.2.2 or something.

The problem is you have no ip services ("change ip-services") before version 9.x (forget # exactly but positive it was 9 something).

R9.5 or greater for SAT. You are stuck with the modem or use a data module at you desk. There are some other creative solutions as well like put a junk Windows XP PC in the basement and use remote desktop, etc, etc.

I was thinking it was around 9.5 before you could do it, but I would certainly try it.

Need help setting this up?

Add new voice system (first button on the far left side)
Make it a network connection
Enter this IP of the CLAN card
Port number 5023
Skip the next couple, then to the login and password screen and your done.
