Hi,

I'm looking for some suggestions to replace an Audix R1V8 with a non-Audix product. Something preferrably 4 ports with a decent user and admin interface.
Anyone have any experience or suggestions of brands ?

If cost is a issue (when isn't it!), I would consider a Definity Audix. For Voice Mail, Auto Attendants etc it's a good choice. The price is good for the features and performance. You may get trade in value for the old R1V8 audix.

Hope this helps

Chris

Thanks,

I was thinking non-Audix applications if possible. And even non-Lucent products. Something that would work on a switch without mode-codes too.
Amanda says their product works with older G3's via a digital interface but I can't find much more yet.

Look at the Definity AUDIX Velocity option, good value for price cause you get message manager and all with it too.

Otherwise you will have to go Mode Code, the older systems had the option for a digital interface but these are hard to get now.

Take a look at for the Repartee solution. It runs on a OS/2 or NT server. I have a dell running OS/2 connected with 4 digital ports to our System/75. It's been running for 5 years with no problems.
