Default Wait Time for a Tape Mount? 1

How long will arcserve wait by default for a tape mount request?

How do i alter/increase this default time?

I have a simple test environment with 1 tape drive and Arcserve 11.1r. I notice a merge operation I initiated on sequence 1 asked for sequence 2 (which i mounted) and then sequence 3. I wasn't around for the request and it looks like (by the activity log) that it gave up after about 25 minutes.

Does that sound right?

Can i increase it?

check in global settings of the backup job under the backup media tab. You have options for first tape and subsequent tape timeouts.

I can't find what you're talking about. Backup media tab? I'm using 11.1r if that helps.

Thanks.. I notice the Restore Window and Merge window also have an options button that allows you to seperately set timeouts there. Problem solved!
