Default user name in 2003

How do you switch the default user name when creating new users from FirstnameLastname to FirstinitialLast name?

IE When you type Bob Smith in the first and last names, get bsmith as a login name instead of bobsmith?

as far as i know, by degin, when u put on Bob Smith, the logon name will be showing up as bsmith, but, you may change the logon name in ADUC, er?

other than that, u may script adding new user to apply firstnameLastname rule.

Thank you, but unfortunately, the default user name in 2003 server is FullFirstname+FullLastName, ie bobsmith.

I knew in previous versions there was a magical place where you could change that default. I just don't remember where it is.

Does anyone know how to set the default user account name in 2003? Thanks.
