Is there a way to change the default settings in Quark? I would like to change the default font and if possible set it so that when I select a text box it has a line around it. Is this possible?

Default settings in Quark

Yes, open Quark but have NO document open.
You can then go into the menu bar on top and change any settings that are not dimmed out. Then they will all be available for any NEW documents you create. Note that existing documents will have their old settings though.
