default last quarter dispaly on prompt page

I want to get default financial quarter year displayed on my prompt page when i run the report

my report look like this

on the prompt page

value prompt 1. financial quarter year period start

value prompt 2. financial quarter year period end

so if i run the report i should get last complete quater year displayed.on prompt 1. as well prompt 2.
ihave seen the issues previously but cant find right answer can any one help plz.....

One way is to define a union for the prompt queries, making sure that the last complete quarter year is displayed at the top of the drop down list.
As Cognos only accepts static choices for default selections, this is a suitable workaround. Otherwise you will probably need some java-script to make it work..

Thanks for that I tried in the way u told but i couldnot find the result but any way i tried with java script it worked.
