Newbie!
When I open up a new worksheet and type in any number in a cell, the number displayed is in 0.01 for the number 1 entered.

If I type 28 the number that appears is 0.28.

Can anyone please help me to change this to the normal value.

Thank you,
Jason.

I would go check under the tools/options/edit tab to see if fixed decimal place is checked. If so, uncheck this option to see if that will correct your problem.

I could not see my reply, therefore, I'm not sure that it went through. Go the the tools/option/edit tab and make sure that the fixed decimal place is not checked.

UZZA,

This absolutely saved me. I truly appreciate your assistance.

Thank you very much for your insight and response.

Jay.

Thanks, Uzza! You have directed me to an area I was unaware of! A Star for you.
