default detailsview to edit mode 1

I am using VS 2005 Standard Edition.
I have a gridview that has a select, when I click on the Select link, my detailsview pops up with the data, then I have to click again to put it into edit mode.

Is there a way, I can click on the select of the gridview and default the detailsview to edit mode?

You could try setting the DefaultMode property.
