I am working on a db in Access 97. In one of the forms the users enter in data and in order to save time I have made the date field with a default value of =Date(). However recently the default value has started showing the #Name? error.

The only change to the set up is that MS Outlook has been upgraded from 98 to 2003. Could this have caused the error, if so is there a fix?

Thanks in advance.

You may want to check the references in your application. Go into a code module in design view, then tools---> references.

Some of your dll's may have been modified or missing. Did you only upgrade Outlook and not the rest of Office?

I've had this happen to me when I had a missing reference.

Thanks a million. An annoying problem solved!
