I HAVE ONLY HAVE IE 5.5 AS A BROWSER. I HAVE THE BOXED CHECKED" IE TO CHECK TO SEE IF IT IS THE DEFAULT BROWSER",
BUT IE FAILS TO START WHEN I CONNECT TO THE INTERNET. I HAVE TO CLICK ON ICON TO START IT. HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IE4
AND IT STARTED AUTOMATICALY. ANY ANSWERS APPRECIATED.

instead of connecting to the internet then opening ie, go into the control panel, into internet settings, under the connections tab, make it dial your default dialer and click okay. then whenever you open ie it should automatically dial your isp and ie will already open. I dont think that Inernet Explorer will automatically open up if there is an internet connection made. Questions/comments/concerns to email address below please.
