I have been battling this reload all day. I have recently had to try and rebuild a crashed IP Office Install (my first). I have been doing everything by the book and it seems the default system password will not work with Manager. I can see the system with System Monitor, the thing Pings but I cannot get into the system to reload my configuration changes. I am reloading the system with the original disks (R3.1) Any ideas? I have been scouring the FAQs and the thing is not operating as the docs say it should. I entered the SN (MAC) off the underside of my IP406 V2 unit and the "password" (without quotes). Manager refuses to take it but the wizard was kind enough to let me work with a config. It will not load though.

Manager does find the IP office but the password wont work, is that correct? Or is manager not finding the IPO?

Yes! Manager does see the IPO system and the password does not work.
I don't think that the Manager saw the IP406 when I installed it the first time. The dialog box was empty after it searchedIP ISI. I have since removed the whole software suite and reinstalled it with the IP406 running. It saw the system this time and gave me the opportunity to enter the username and password which I did.
It still will not accept my default username and password OR the one I just created. Any suggestions?

SuperJenks! You did it. Thank you so very much.
I have been reading the docs and they tell you "password" in several places. Where did I go wrong? It finally let me into the Config Tree and I believe I am in the home stretch. This has been a trying 24 hours. God bless! I will let you know how this all turns out.

Avaya changed the default passwords for the IPO when you upgrade from 3.1 or lower. If the default password before 3.2 was password, it got changed to Administrator from the upgrade. Its weird though, manager wants the "Administrator" password, but call status and upgrade wizard will still want or use the old password wich is "password". Strange huh?

Im glad I could help.
