If I have a 3711 Dect and two IPO 406s connected via SCN, is there any way to have the same extension work at both locations without utilizing hotdesking? I have a user setup as extension 136 on site A, configured the ADMM and no problem. Went to site B added the phone to the ADMM and it took but Manager shows NoUer as being the logged in extension. I just want users to be able to float between sites with out having to worry about getting logged out in the event of a reboot or power failure of the 406. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

You could add a user at the second site and have that as forward on busy from his proper user at his usual site, when he goes to the second site it should see his primary extn as busy but the forward user as available :)

i think the only way to do it would be to have another base station at the remote site but connected to the ADMM on the main site. the calls will still have to double up on bandwidth due to the call still terminating on the main site when at the remote site.

e.g

Main Site IPO = 192.168.42.1
Main Site ADMM = 192.168.42.2
Remote Base Station from Remote ADMM = 192.168.43.3

Remote Site IPO = 192.168.43.1
Remote Site ADMM = 192.168.43.2
Remote Base Station from Main ADMM = 192.168.42.3

the other option is to have just one ADMM and ALL handsets, both main and remote connect to the one ADMM and a remote base station connected to the main ADMM

This is all assuming a decent amount of bandwidth across a stable VPN
confused?
