Just to see if I am correct. It is my understanding that programs compiled in VB6 cannot be decompiled unlike the eariler versions of VB like 4,5? is this correct? If not what do you recommend is the best way to make a program decomple proof??/

                    John Stephens

VB4 and below can be decompiled, 5 and 6 cannot, reason being is that 5 and 6 are partly compiled into native code, in VB4 and below you could still see the code almost as if it were a text file by opening the exe in notepad, this is because VB4 and below was completely interpreted by the dll, vb5 and 6 now does at least part of the work, while compiling the rest as machine calls to the runtime dll.

Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in , or have messed with : VC++, Borland C++ Builder, VJ++6(starting),VB-Dos, VB1 thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, Borland C++ 3(DOS), Borland C++ 4.5, HTML, ASP(somewhat), QBasic(least i didnt start with COBOL)

Thank you kindly for the response. kb244

                              Sincerely,
                                       John Stephens
