I'm setting up my first Debian server. (3.0r2) I set it up with no extra packages and added X and KDE using apt-get. Now I'm trying to setup my iptables to allow NAT. It is not working because I don't have iptable_nat.o module. I am also using the synaptic utility to install packages via FTP. I have installed the iptables package but still do not have this file, how can I get this module?
Also, only one of my NIC's is configured at boot (eth0). How can I get set eth1 to a static ip (192.168.1.1) and get it to activate on startup?
Man, I got too spoiled using Redhat that has GUI setup utilities for everything
I'm setting this Debian machine up just to learn, that's why I started from base without installing any packages from taskel or dselect.
