(Hope someone reads all of this)

Well today was the first time ever I didnt use a punch down or program a DN to a phone, all I had to do was change the CPND. So as you all can imagine I'm scared especially when our primary tool has been taken out of the factor as well as what I know in programming.

Some questions I have....

If the DN is programmed onto a phone itself..How do I delete the programing on the phone and wipe it clean?

Is there any place I can go and read a site something?

thanks in advance!@

I feel your pain !
Every IP set must have a phantom TN
You can print the DN find out the TN and make the DN change there or anything else needed.

the IP, Node, etc is configured on the phone but the DN,TN, CLS is still a SSC/CORE/ Call server fuction.

as far as Docs I browse the Nortel Helmsman Succesion docs

hope this helps

It's only dialtone-VZ

I think I can help if it is a I2004. If it is, then unplug the power and plug it back in. When the words Nortel Networks appears then hit the buttons under the screen, left to right, 1 then 2 then 3 then 4. That should put you into the manual configuartion mode, just go through each item, enter to OK it, or change what is needed.

mars I had found that hint....funny thing is didnt know what to do with it once I was at the window

There is alot to know before you continue, you might be able to find most of it by looking at one that is working. Two things will be different with each one, the IP address and the TN, the rest should be the same on all sets.

One more thing, you can find the IP address and TN in Ld 117

LD 117
Prt DNIP <dn or part of dn>

This will list all dns starting with the number given that have an IP address and shouild look like:

PRT DNIP
CUST 0
DN 5400

TN TYPE KEY IP ADDRESS ZONE STATUS
61-0 I2004 0 210.100.6.60 0 REG

Hope this helps.

pretty simple after you get started, you can print the dn, and the tn, just like tdm sets. i change them the same way but you can do it in the html interface, which of course is slower.. but new and improved
