Dead 3600

I issued a erase startup-config and now my router hangs at POST. Here is the sequence that caused my drama. I also issued relaod after the erase.

Depending upon the time and other resources you have, it may be time to consider a support contract with Cisco for this device.

While these are on a per-device, per-year basis, they are worth their weight in gold when the chips are down.

I have several for various devices for clients and the immediate and competant help is much appreciated. They see the problem through and escalate as needed. Some of these guys are so good.

Since it is their device, they really want to make it work.

Finally, you may be faced with a botched load: there are, I understand, hooks within the Cisco ROM to allow recovery from some rather severe accidents like this one.

Thanks, I finally got it to go into romon mode and fixed without Cisco help. Youa re correct, their support rox when you need it. I'm now running happily ever after the trauma.
