Hi everyone

I have a table which I received as a text file, which I opened with access. I can query it just fine, but I need to add some new colums and change a bit of data but Access won't let me because the table is liked to the text file and Access doesn't support these edits.

Does anyone know a way I can make this table independent from the text file so I can make changes to the structure and contents of this database?

Regards
Ed

Use the import feature to bring it in as a new table. You can then edit the structure as appropriate and add new fields etc.
