DDR2 Issue or is it?

Hello guys,
I've just bought 2 modules of ddr2 ram 512mb each for my pc. the problem started when i plugged them in, the computer started to freeze after about 10 minutes of work.
So it runs at dual channel, if i run it at single so one module only it works fine.
I tried both modules by them selves and in both slots and they both seems to be fine by them selves.
Before i used to run 2 modules of ddr 256mb each everything was smooth.
Any suggestions.

See your motherboards website for recommended modules.
They are not happy in this system so one may be faulty but more likely are not compatible with this mainboard.

If so, see if the supplier can swap them for a differant make, preferably ones of the compatible chart.

This problem is very common, some ram will simply not work on one motherboard and will work on another.
Change ram.

Sorry for not giving my specs it was late at night and i totally forgot.

CPU: Pentium 4 3Ghz 800FSB 530J LGA775
MB: Gigabyte GA-8I915PC Duo
GFX: GeForce 128mb 6600GT Pci-E
OS: Windows Xp Pro SP2
Ram: Before used to be DDR 2 x 256mb elexir i think and now 2 x 512Mb Kingmax series MARS.

Here's a list of the supported RAM for the GA-81915P Duo(GA-81915PC Duo is not listed, but suspect it's the same), and Kingston is not there:

I think there was a mistake as you can see i said Kingmax
and it is supported

is there anyway to test if its motherboard?

You're exactly right. Sorry 'bout that. Been watching too many fireworks, and my peepers are glazed over(never blame the beer!).

Since you stated that your Kingmax RAM consists of 2-512 MB modules, then are they both either KLBC28K-A8EP4 or KLBC28F-A8KP4?

Could be, and i would make a copy of that info from the website if and when returning the ram.
But check your motherboard manual as some want sticks of ram in slots one and three, if dual channel, things like that.

I've finaly solved the problem by redusing RAM frequency from 533 to 400 it sems flowless now.

What you recon caused the issue coul that be the MB then?
