Can anybody tell me if I can have a remote extension (in a DCS environment) be a coverage point? I know I cannot put an foreign extension in a coverage path, so how could I have a call to someone in site 1 bounce to someone in site 2, and then come back to the voicemail in site 1 if not answered?

Just make it a remote coverage point.
Place the number desired for te cov. point on a free spot in the list "change cov rem". Then put in your coverage path "rx" (where x is the position in the remote coverage list).

John, your tip got my call to site number 2, but it didn't come back for voicemail. It just kept ringing at site 2. Any other settings turned on I might be missing?

Hmm... we set it up with a remote coverage point to a Ericsson DECT-system (Q-sig coupled) and second point to the voicemail. Worked okay with us... so it must be possible. As far as I know we didn't do anything special.

We once had an issue when we had a remote coverage point to an outside BRI-line. Somehow we lost control over the connection and the call was only covered to the first point.

Will look into it tomorrow as I have the configuration on my laptop.

I discussed it overhere at the office and they told me that you will need the "telecommuting" feature.
And this is also a paid-for feature that can be autihorised only by AVAYA.
