Had computer crash. Upon restart found that primary drive (formerly E
is now C: Drive has WinXP Pro with SP2 and all updates, one partition. Also have 2nd drive, which was C: before crash, now D:, one partition. Was able to finally get good XPPro SP2 and all updates installed on new D: Booting from new C:, boot and loading of programs is normal. All programs load. At very end of program load, however, error window appears: "This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. Time before shutdown counter with 60 seconds commences. Message states: "Windows must now restart because the DCOM Server Process Launcher service terminated unexpectantly". Computer then restarts. Have done Norton virus scan, Microsoft AntiSpyware scan,
Ad-aware scan, Spybot Search & Destroy scan. All with latest (3/16/05) definitions. All clean.
Could not find any answers via Google search or in KB. Is there a repair for this? Thanks for all responses!
