On our mail server (which also does our nightly backups), I am recieving the follow error :

DCOM got error "Class not registered " from the computer <two other server names> when attempting to activate the server: {D99E6E73-FC88-11D0-B498-00A0C90312F3}

Veritas recommends installing certificate services ( I do not want to do that as of yet, as I do not see the reason to do this. And I do not want to hurt the network in any way what so ever, as its running great. I contacted Veritas, and they say they no longer can support Exec 8.6. Yet, they did provide something else to check (dcomcnfg settings). Here is where we may have a problem. When you open dcomcnfg, the follow presents itself :

The CLSID {34AB770-379E-11D2-AC0D-00105A0D1A42}, item C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\VERITA~1\becomreg.exe and title CoBEInstallJob Class has the named value AppID, but is not recorded under \\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppID. Do you wish to record it?

The CLSID {B58C2440-A1A3-11d1-B024-006097C9A284}, item C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\1033\MSOHELP.EXE and title MsoHelp Key Search Dialog has the named value AppID, but is not recorded under \\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AppId. Do you wish to record it?

Any help would be greatly apprecated!
