I have 5, T-1s sharring a primary and back up dch. We were told to move the DCHs onto their own MSDL to help with the traffic processing by the 5 T-1s.
Below are errors we see with DCH 11 a buffer report and then the DCH1030 codes. These codes were comming before and after moving the D-ch's.

I have seen a posting that is experiencing the same problem I am having. I have placed a copy of that thread in here. Below is that other thread. Does anyone have any experience with this error occuring?

The following error I see in the NTP's as -buffer overflow for DCH on the MSDL card. Can someone tell me which MSDL or DCH it is refering to? I swapped the card that has DCH 1 and swapped cables on DCH 1 but still get this error a couple times a day. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything but it started after upgrade to RLS 5.0

Before the DCH1030 errors, there is an MSDL304 error. Does that come up everytime before the DCH1030 errors? MSDL304 indicates an influx of messages sent to the M1 from the MSDL card. A couple of things to think about or try if you haven't already:

1) Disable DCH and MSDL and enable it with a force download
2) Swap the MSDL hardware or "frog" it with a known good MSDL card to see if the problem moves
3) Make DCH 11 become standby and its backup become active and see if the problem persists

War Eagle!!

Also you could check the OTBF parameter in the D-Channel Data Block. OTBF defaults at 32 but you can crank it up to as high as 128 (book says 127 but the NTPs are sometimes wrong). With 5 T1s I would not hesitate to increase OTBF.
