I cant get a Direct Cable connection to work with a win98 (host) and a winxp (guest) computer. I use the parallel port. It connects ok (apparantly at 4m/s), but when i try and access it in "my network places" it stops responing for a few seconds then gives me a message saying something about me not having sufficient permissions or rights to access the shares.

I have the ipx protocol installed on the win98 and winxp comp. I also checked the box which says something about letting notebook computers connect without a password on the win98 computer.

How can i get it to work?

I have managed to connect using windows commander (my transfer speed was about 65k/s so the cable is fine), but i want connect without windows commander.
