Hello,

In Oracle 9i on Sun Solaris, if I use the DBCA to create a database template (My Standard DB) how can I use that template on other systems?

I guess I am asking where the template file(s) are and how\where to copy them to other systems.

Note: I am not asking for the scripts created but for any custom templates I create.

Thanks,

Michael42

You can copy templates from $ORACLE_HOME/assistants/dbca/templates to any other system in the same location.

However, templates do not work across releases. You cannot use a 9i template in a 10g home.

eagertory,

Very nice!!!! :) Looking in the directory you specify I found the corresponding file for my template.

In fact - it is XML based. Very nice.

Thanks for posting,

Michael
