A few years back there was a great utility called dbc2mdb and mdb2dbc, conversion utils by someone of the FoxTeam.
I dug up these utils but they no longer work with a dbc created with VFP9.

Anyone knows of a conversion utility that can (automatically) create a access-mdb of a vfp-dbc?

Rob

Dave,

That could be done, but the tables in the dbc contain specific VFP9 features.
That way the conversion wouldn't be complete.

The error the dbc2mdb utilitie throws at me is:
OleIDispath: code 0 from MS Jet Database Engine - invalid precision

Rob.

Rob,

I don't know if this is any help, but if your user has Access installed, you could probably use its File / Get Extenal Data feature. The latest version should work OK with VFP 9.0 DBCs.

Mike

Check out my column in the May FoxPro Advisor. I wrote about converting VFP data to Access.
